Below I've presented some closed forms that I've made over the past couple of years. I've got a few more half turned, but don't have the proper tools to do hollowing very efficiently. Blame it on my Scotch ancestry. I've got some tools half made too, but hey, you know how it is; you

Driftwood at it's finest. This was a log that floated up on the shore at my folks house. I had a choice of whether to toss it on the bonfire last 4th of July, or to turn it. |

This is a piece inspired by the "Garden Tomb" in Jerusalem. It is made of spalted alder, representing the decay and corruption in the world, oak, mahogany and purpleheart; purple being a royal color, befitting the King of Kings. |  |

The carving could be better but it's only my 2nd or 3rd attempt.
