ABOUT GIRDWOOD Girdwood, home of Chugach Powder Guides, is a small ski village, 30 miles down the Seward Highway from Anchorage, Alaska. Once a gold mining town, Girdwood is now a bustling town of 2,000, complete with a luxury ski resort, several restaurants and bars, a small grocery, a ski shop, and unique shopping opportunities. Girdwood is nestled in a valley lined with glaciers, and faces the Turnagain Arm. All our guests fly into Anchorage International Airport. Our preferred airline carrier is Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air, which services all of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and western Montana via Seattle. Other airlines that service Anchorage are Delta, Northwest, United, and Continental connecting the rest of the lower 48 states and Europe. To
