Hunt for Deer Aboard the Kittiwake II

After fifteen years of deer hunting in Alaska, I'm now sharing my expertise in an operation that does drop-off hunts. Last Fall I ran the 73 foot fishing vessel Kittiwake II as a base camp for hunting deer on Kodiak Island. Our hunt package included 7 days and nights aboard the boat. We took the hunters ashore, then ourselves returned to the boat to cook, clean, and do chores while they enjoyed the beautiful wilderness of Kodiak and the thrill of the hunt. It's almost as much fun watching hunters like Jason (on the left in the photo below), as it is going hunting myself. I'm looking forward to this year's hunt and I'm glad to say that Jason will be aboard again this Fall.
