Cross Country Flight from Birchwood to Homer

July 22nd & 23rd Dave Vernoy flew from Birchwood Airport in Chugiak, Alaska to Homer, Alaska and back.  He made stops at the Soldotna Airport and Ninilchik Airpark.   Click here to see photos from this trip.

1999 Wings Pilot Proficiency Competition

June 26, 1999 the United States Pilots Association is came to Alaska to hold their Wings Pilot Proficiency Competition. The USPA created two events for the ultralight class, the bomb drop and spot field landing.  Congratulations to Ephraim Carter for winning this event!

3rd Annual Summer Solstice Fly-In 

This event was held June 18-20, 1999 Birchwood Airport, Chugiak, Alaska.  There was a successful first two days of events and displays however the 3rd day was washed out by rain.   The aviation competitions were held July 10th at Birchwood Airport in Chugiak Alaska.  For more information:  Lance Welsh (907) 688-7001
