Description:

It was a small tournament with four combatants and so it was decided the day of the event to have four matched weapon stages, with every one meeting every one else at each stage. The victor, and the ladies champion for the day, would be selected by the Gallery. Combatants were Princess Richenza, Master Patrick Logan, Baron Alfonso and Lord Colin.

The first stage was sword & shield; the second spear; the third bastard swords at the barrier; and the fourth was pole-axes at the barrier.

How it Went:

All the combatants were just plain beat by the last round. Really beat.

At the end, the Gallery conferred and then said that they couldn't decide between Master Patrick and Baron Alfonso. Since it was Alfonso's opinion all along that Patrick deserved to be selected, he asked that the ladies indeed name Patrick their champion for the day, which they then agreed to and did.

Lessons Learned:

Nothing fancy. Fun. And the gallery had good reason to be involved.
