Description:

A one day challenge by Viscount Sir Georg to lose one fight for every year (17) that he and Viscountess Katarzina has been married.

How it Went:

Sir Georg doesn't lose often, so this was quite a bit more fighting than just one fight for every year. Many fighters helped make the total.

That night at bardic, Sir Georg handed out roses to each person who had fought him that day and, for each, shared some thoughts about that person or about the days combat. It was one of those magical SCA moments and by the time he was done there were many almost-but-not-quite dry eyes in the pavilion.

Lessons Learned:

A reminder of Appreciation for Others. When you set something like this up, you really put you trust in the other fighters. The feat will only be a success if the rise to the occasion.
