It’s a lot of work to run a ski team.
We can do it but we need your help. |
|
Don’t forget to pay your Team Booster Fee?
The team fee is collected by the South Anchorage XC Skiing Boosters. It is used to pay for wax, wax benches, Regions Barbecue, awards, post-season Banquet, Spaghetti Feed paper supplies, Race Tent, other equipment and much more. We are asking for $40 per skier but you are always welcome to give more to the team!
Make checks payable to South XC Boosters.
Give your check to a coach or mail to:

Practice started November 2
Remember - skiers must turn in their required paperwork and fees to the activities office before they can practice. (see below)

Volunteer Opportunities!!
We can do it - but we need your help. Besides, helping out, is a great way to meet your students friends and find out what the ski team is all about. Here’s what you do -
1. Check the volunteer list to see where we still need help. The list shows where people have signed up. The blank lines are your opportunity. Be sure to check the snack list - help keep our skiers fed and hydrated.
2. If you are not sure what a job would involve check here for a list of volunteer job descriptions.
3. Special how to for Spaghetti Feeds
4. E-mail or call the coordinator listed and tell us when you can volunteer. |

Carpool Opportunities
If your are interested in posting a carpooling request e-mail skier name, contact information and area of town you live it to:
SAHSXC@hotmail.com
We’ll post your request on the web.
To arrange a carpool please contact the interested families listed on the link below.
As soon as the snow flies the team will have a bus to get kids to practice and then back to South after practice. So you don’t have to arrange a carpool to practice. (Unless something changes – in which case we’ll let you know.) The carpool needs would be home from South after practice. Typically about 3:45 before the snow flies and around 5:00 after we get snow – but check the hotline to confirm when practice is over |
|
Before attending practice all skiers must complete and turn in to the activities office: 2. Sport/Athletic Participation Form 3. Activities Fee paid to South Activities Office $160 (waiver available) 4. Watch the Play For Keeps Video 5. Sign the Play For Keeps Acknowledgement Form
You also need to complete and turn in to a coach: 1. Your contact information sheet. 3. Your Team Contract 4. The yellow copy of the Athletic Participation Form |
