Matanuska River - 3 1/2 hours
   
This trip is for everyone! Just a 1 1/2-hour drive N.E. of Anchorage. You can relax as you float amidst the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains. This stretch of the river allows your guide the flexibility to give you the kind of trip you want. The easily negotiable rapids and peaceful waters, make it a great way to experience rafting and a chance to try the oars. Classified Class III.

Lionshead - 4 hours
   

This whitewater river trip lives up to its name. On the upper reaches of the Matanuska River is Lionshead, a rock wall wrestling with the converging Matanuska Glacier.

The resulting squeeze play creates several miles of non-stop Class IV white water!

If you're looking for a one-day outing with heart-stopping white waters, a lunch stop on the glacier moraine, glimpses of Dall Sheep, a 27 mile-long glacier view and its surrounding peaks, then this 14-mile river trip is it!

Lionshead Evening
   
Lionshead surges in the evening from the heat of the day. The float offers you an opportunity to run high water in the midnight sun. Includes Barbeque meal.
