Spring Bear

For those looking to hunt Bear, and only Bear, I offer spring hunts
in the Brooks Range, Bristol Bay and the Seward Peninsula. Each
are novel hunts. The bears of the Brooks are generally smaller
than those on the Seward Peninsula, but they have unusually blond and
silver-tipped coloration. The scenery of the Brooks is incomparable.
To hunt on the Seward Peninsula, hunters must apply for a permit one
year in advance. The bears have access to salmon and caribou,
and therefore, are 6 to 12 inches larger, on average, than the
Brooks bears.
Transportation
is left to the professional. Due to rising insurance costs and
new regulations, I no longer fly clients in my own airplane. It
is nearly impossible to both fly and guide, and I prefer to guide.
Round-trip charter flights from Fairbanks, Kotzebue, or Dillingham to
base camps cost $1,000USD. I will schedule your flight, but payment
is made directly to the air carrier. Meat can be left in camp,
and I will fly it out separately.
We provide a variety of hunts and quality service for your hard-earned
money. Please contact me for a list of references. Upon
booking, I will provide you with a guideline packing list. I feel
confident that you'll be pleased with our service and look forward to
hearing from you soon.
