Valdez Information

Valdez is nestled at the foot of the Chugach Mountains on the shores of Prince William Sound.  It has been called the Switzerland of Alaska and boasts rugged moutain peaks and glaciers.  Valdez averages 300 inches of snow a year and is home to the World Extreme Skiing Championships.

Valdez is a busy seaport, shipping oil from the Trans-Alaska Pipline to the west coast of the United States, and now to the Orient.   We welcome you to come visit our home!
