        Covered business, as well as community events in Anchorage and breaking news around the state, while monitoring local emergencies and public calls to the newsroom. Reporter on the Daily News’ 1996 Christmas charity project, “The Book of Dreams,” a tabloid about needy Alaskans that moved readers to give generously.

        Covered government, police, special events, and breaking news. Memorable assignments include the 1984 Olympics, Cerritos air crash, Long Beach Grand Prix,  riots, earthquakes, mudslides, and a host of homicides, accidents and power outages. Also wrote features and personality profiles, as well as a weekly consumer column called the Recession Fighter.
