Glenn Gano was born into a large family that was rich with musical, dramatic, literary and artistic talents. As the son of parents involved in Christian ministry and professional theater, Glenn's musical tastes and influences are the result of the work and passions of his grandparents, parents and seven siblings. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington with a theater major and a music minor. After growing up on the East Coast and in the Midwest, Glenn has been an Alaskan resident since 1985.

After performing an eclectic mix of other people's material for 20 years, Glenn began writing his own songs in 1995. This has lead to the release of his first CD titled "Unfinished" in 1996, several tracks of which feature guest appearances by Violent Femmes members Gordon Gano and Brian Ritchie. This album showcases Glenn's varied musical tastes through a mix of folk, rock, blues and gospel - mostly original songs with a couple of covers thrown in. He recruited several friends and family members to complete the full length recording.

Glenn's Anchorage debut was at the old Adventures and Delights coffee house/travel agency/outdoor equipment store in 1988, before specialty coffee houses were on every corner of the city. Since then, Glenn has performed regularly at different coffee houses and festivals throughout south-central Alaska.
