Freedom Frog has a new van! Through a generous donation from the Anchorage Chrysler Dodge Center, Intervention Helpline is now back on the road with a vehicle that suits all of its transport needs!

Our original 1978 Ford Econoline Van, lovingly restored by the Nye Frontier auto body shop, was stolen by several joy-riding kids over the summer, and abandoned near Mount McKinley much worse for wear.

Anchorage Chrysler stepped in to Help Freedom Help others in October, donating a new service van from the factory. Buster's upholstery upgraded the interior, and Details, Inc. designed the graphics for the van, which acknowledge the many contributors to the program. Tesoro Alaska Petroleum also donated fuel for the new van for a year!

Use of a large vehicle may not seem to be critical factor for most non-profits, but in Intervention's case it's a necessity. The crates that hold the Freedom Frog costumes are large, four-foot-square boxes. Add to that the food, supplies and other materials for Freedom's many annual events, and the logistics of transportation are readily apparent!

The agency welcomes all donations, but this one was special! (That's Executive Director Bob Young and Freedom's beluga whale friends admiring the new van).
