Chainsaw Art and Custom Woodworking, Alaska Style

Hi there, I have been creating whimsical wood carvings, designing and building furniture, and other art items for over 30 years.  This work has received awards and recognition in art displays and shows.  Many of my caricatures, carvings, and furniture pieces are developed from my own ideas, which generally turn out successfully - there  are occasional disasters.  I have developed the ability to capture features of actual people and incorporate them into whimsical carvings.  This has resulted in several commissions to carve statues of real people in which individual characteristics, habits, and features are incorporated into the caricature.  Carvings and caricatures have been shipped to individuals throughout the U.S. and Europe.

I have actively promoted woodworking through teaching classes, writing articles on carving, and participating in the Alaska Creative Woodworkers as a charter member with past service as board member and president.  This website provides a few of the items I make.  Come in and look around.
