Bantam:
These are some pics of my 1932 Bantam Altered when I first bought it in 2000.  It was just a rolling chassis- no motor.
I'm in the process of putting in a 350 Chevy Small Block with 2-speed Powerglide Tranny, Ford 9" rear-end,  Hedman Headers, and a Holley 4-barrel Carb .
It should run in the 9's if everything goes right.

It now has a large journal 327 Stroker with approximately 560 hp.

So far, this last race season(summer, 2003), the quickest I went was ZERO!  I blew up my motor and broke the transmission. The fastest I've gone is 138.12 mph.  My very best reaction time so far, has been a .501. Not bad for a rookie!  *L*

Our son Calijah also races.  He is 15 and our track has a class called Teen Championship Racing.  This is geared towards the 13 - 17 year olds.  This class is for only Street-Legal cars and the cars cannot go faster than 11.00 in the 1/8 mile.  Calijah is working on getting his own car running (safely!).  He should be on the track this summer racing his '66 Chevelle Malibu.  GO CALIJAH!  This is a picture of his car, so far!
