Come explore Alaska on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle! We have put together two great 6 and 7-day itineraries for those who want to see Alaska and ride the paved highways. These tours are 4 and 5 full days of riding; we will pass by Mt. McKinley (North America's tallest peak), cross the Alaska Range twice, visit Harley-Davidson's most northern post is Fairbanks, soak in the natural hot springs at Chena, and enjoy the spectacular views on the Glenn Highway (one of two National Forest Scenic Byways in Alaska). Glaciers, wildlife, open roads….imagine riding through the land of the midnight sun, surrounded by North America's tallest peaks and vast pristine landscapes. For those of you who wish to load your bikes on a ferry and spend the day cruising by Sea Lions, Orcas, Bald Eagles and tide-water glaciers spilling out into the sea, consider our Prince William Sound extended tour. You will love these rides!
We have fashioned an all inclusive package for your group, including HD rental, airport pick-up/drop off, support vehicle, guide, helmets (if needed), all accommodations (B&B's, lodges and cabins), and all breakfasts and dinners. Ferry passage on the M/V Bartlett will also be included in the tour price for those joining the 7-day tour. All you have to do is get to Anchorage, and we are ready to roll!

Itinerary:

Day one: Pick up at airport in the afternoon in Anchorage, Alaska. Transfer to lodging. Welcome dinner this evening.

Day two: Pick up motorcycle in the morning. Ride from Anchorage to Cantwell. Stop off at the small town of Talkeetna. We will ride past Mt. McKinley this day. Spectacular mountainous views. Stay in Cantwell. Total miles: 228.

Day three: Ride from Cantwell to Chena Hotsprings Resort. We will continue riding though the Alaska Range this day. Enjoy the winding two-laned highway with tall mountains all around! We will pass through Fairbanks, Alaska this day, and have a chance to stop at the most northern Harley outpost anywhere! Then, we ride on to soak in the natural hotsprings at Chena Hotsprings Resort. Stay at the resort. Total miles: 231.

Day four: Ride from Chena to Paxson. As we head south on the Richardson Highway, enjoy the sweeping two-laned highway riding and gorgeous views of the 14 and 15 thousand foot peaks of the Alaska Range. Then, we will travel through the Alaska Range at Isabel Pass…some of the wildest, most scenic road riding anywhere! Stay in Paxson. Total miles: 235.

Day five: Ride from Paxson to Anchorage. This will be our longest day on the road, and not a better one to end on, as we will be riding the Glenn Highway…a National Forest Scenic Byway. This is a two-laned, winding highway with glaciers and mountain peaks on all sides…all day!! Back to Anchorage, and farewell dinner to remember! Total miles: 267.

We then climb and wind through Thompson Pass, arguably the prettiest 45 minutes on a motorcycle anywhere…Jagged peaks on all sides, wild rivers, and glaciers spilling out to the highway…simply a treat! We then descend down to Valdez, passing through scenic Keystone Canyon. This is a steep walled, narrow canyon with towering waterfalls cascading on all sides. Stay in Valdez. Total miles: 194.
