5 Day Denali Highway Tour

view mapclickitinerary printout version

Dates:
July 9 to 13, 2003
“Mid-night Sun” Tour
- Experience the sun nearly 24 hours a day!

September 3 - 7, 2003
“Northern lights” Tour
– The lights can be out this week!

*This tour is new for the 2003 season!*

We have created an itinerary for those short on time, but want to experience the true Alaska. The route we chose incorperates long, two-laned paved highways with one day spent on our last great dirt highway; the Denali Highway. The riding is non-technical, and a joy for riders of all abilities. The scenery along this route is stunning: tall, jagged mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see, mixed with sections of winding paved highway....simply a delight for the "rider" in you. Imagine Dall Sheep to the right of you, and a massive glacier to the left...and you have the Glenn Highway, recently named a National Scenic Byway.

Highways we cover:
Parks Highway - between Anchorage and Cantwell
Denali Highway - between Cantwell and Paxson
Richardson Highway - between Paxson and Glennallen
Glenn Highway - between Glennallen and Anchorage

This tour has been in demand, so we have created this itinerary for you! We have hand-picked some outstanding lodges, cabins and B&B's along the way, and we are stocking the coolers with great beer and wine for dinner, and will have the picnic lunch set up and waiting for you when you roll in for lunch.
