Continue to use the InterJet Troubleshooting Wizard by answering the questions that follow:

Internet Connections

Managing connection times effectively.


Solution:

To minimize connection times, check the following InterJet settings:

In the System Agent/ Network/ General, set the Disconnect After X Minutes of Idle Time to its minimum setting of 2 minutes.

In the Mail Agent/ Options, set the Check for Incoming Mail (at least WhistleWare 1.x or greater) or Process External Mail (WhistleWare 2.x or greater) to a longer setting, such as 4 hours.

In the Mail Agent/ Options, set the Process Mail to a longer setting, such as 1 hour. (WhistleWare 1.x only)

Make sure no InterJet clients are using an automatic browsing or information retrieval program such as PointCast.

Make sure no InterJet client is automatically checking for mail from an external mail server.
