OFFSET PRINTING

Offset printing offers the best quality duplication of your print job if you have a large volume order, such as several hundred to several thousand. Your order can be done in your choice of paper color and weight, with black ink or up to three colors of your choice. We offer a number of other services such as folding, perforation, 3-hole punch, stapling and machine numbering. (See Other Services ) Some of the jobs we do include:

  • Business Cards: Both 1-sided and 2-sided, with your logo.
  • Pads: Advertise your business with colorful pads with your company information.
  • Fliers: All sizes, and we can do the design and layout for you.
  • Menus: On legal or letter size, choice of paper and clip art - we fold too.
  • Newsletters: Camera ready or not.
  • Cards, Notices: All manner of cards, invitations, small signs, etc.
  • Stationery & Envelopes: With your logo; wide variety of envelope types.
  • Duplicate Forms: double or triplicate forms, layout available for these too.

    SELF-SERVE COPIES

    For your smaller duplication needs, we have a xerographic copier available for self-serve or assisted service. If you need only a hundred or less copies, this may be what you are looking for. Our copier does collation and stapling as well. Available for limited color copies, we have a Canon inkjet copier. Colored copy paper is available at a small fee.

    FAX SERVICES

    If you have a fax to send occasionally, but no fax machine, no need to go out and buy one for those limited needs. Bring it in to ASAP Printing. We fax locally, within Alaska, and outside Alaska (including international). You can receive expected faxes through us as well, by special arrangement.

    INFORMATION ABOUT SENDING YOUR FILES TO ASAP PRINTING

    All of our computer work is done on Macintosh, so we prefer to receive Mac documents. We use the following programs: Pagemaker 6.5, Photoshop 3.0, and Illustrator 7.0. If you have a document prepared for printing and would like to e-mail it as an attachment, please use these formats.

    We are able to work with IBM documents, as long as they are in Pagemaker 6.5. If you are working on IBM and have a Pagemaker 6.5 document, it may be altered slightly when converted to Mac format, so be aware of that. EPS and TIFF files created in IBM Photoshop and Illustrator will usually transfer without problems. (We can also receive PDF documents made in Adobe Acrobat 3.0). Be sure to include any art and fonts you used in your Pagemaker documents.

    If you are sending art graphic files for use in your print job, we prefer EPS format, compatible with Photoshop or Illustrator. If you want to use more than one color to print your graphic, we must be able to do color separations, so format is very important. We cannot guarantee photos sent via the internet, but if you choose to try, please use TIFF files.

    To send very large files, we recommend that you zip them first - use PKZip for IBM. (Hint: In Pagemaker, always save your final version using "save as" so that your finished document size is smaller.)
