to upgrade WhistleWare from a local computer

Problem:
|
The InterJet¨ is
not successful upgrading from your ISP's or from Whistle's
ftp server due to connection problems. You need to use a
local computer to upgrade WhistleWare.
|
|
Solution:
|
You can use a two-step process
to perform the upgrade. First, copy the upgrade files using
an ftp client to a local computer or to the InterJet. Then
upgrade WhistleWare using the InterJet's administration
interface as usual.

How
to download new versions of Whistle OS

Problem:

You need the location (URL)
and password to download new versions of Whistle OS
|
|
Solution:
|
To download new versions of
WhistleWare, go to the System agent's Update page. Enter
the appropriate information listed below. Then select the
radio button for the new version of software and click the
Reboot button. The InterJet will restart with new WhistleWare.
- Version 3.2.1p16:
- Fetch software from = ftp.whistle.com/interjet/3.2.1p16
- Key = justwhistle

Problem:

You have upgraded your InterJet
to WhistleWare 2.0 or 3.0, and would like a copy of the
WhistleWare 3 Administrator's Guide.

Solution:
|
To download an Adobe Acrobat
(pdf) version of the new InterJet Administrator's Guide,
first be sure you have time and hard drive space for the
file - it's roughly 2 MB in size, and will take several
minutes to download using an analog connection.
- Download
Adobe Acrobat (select only if you don't have Adobe
Acrobat already)
- Download the WhistleWare
3.0 manual.
