Shockwave Installation

Shockwave is software that allows us to provide streaming multimedia demonstrations of the Whistle InterJet II software. Follow the instructions below to see if you already have Shockwave installed. If you do not, you can click the "Get Shockwave" button to download and install this software.

Testing for Shockwave Director and Flash

A green light should be shown in a traffic signal at the right. If you do not see this, follow the instructions below for installing Shockwave.

Instructions for Installing Shockwave

Internet Explorer browser users

  • click Refresh on the Internet Explorer navigation bar at the top of your screen
  • click "yes" when asked if you want to install the Shockwave plug-in
  • verify that the plug-in is installed by looking at the traffic signal light above
  • if these instructions do not work for you, click the Get Shockwave button below

Netscape Navigator browser users

Follow these instructions to install Shockwave. These instructions will be reiterated after you click the "Get Shockwave" button.

  • Click "Get Shockwave"
  • Follow the instructions on the Macromedia web site
  • Download the Shockwave installer
  • Make note of where you store the installer
  • After the download is complete, close Netscape and run the installer from the directory where you stored it during the download process
  • Start Netscape again
  • Follow the brief instructions from Macromedia for final Flash Player configuration
  • Return to this web page and verify that you have Shockwave installed by looking at the signal light
