Dear Softball Parents, First, I want to say THANK YOU TO CATHY DAVIS! For those of you parents that were at the Softball Parent Meeting, you will recall that I talked to everyone about Escrip. Well, Cathy jumped on board with zeal and took the Power Registration Log form to work and has already turned in 24 new member names! Awesome job Cathy! Looking at the eScrip members we currently have, we know each one of them is already generating an average of $83 in earnings a year to HHS Softball from Safeway and other merchants! It doesn't cost us anything except the few minutes initially to get the new members signed up! What an awesome return for a minimal amount of effort. That is a whole lot of car washes, bake sales and other fundraising that we wouldn't have to do once we built up a large base of members! We have 30 players this season and if each one signs up 3 new members and each parent signs up 3 new members then we would have 180 new members! If you multiply the 180 new members by $83 then that could be $15,000 in earnings we'd have over the next year that didn't cost us a penny! So what are we waiting for?! Now is the time for everyone to embrace this program. The Anchorage Youth Symphony received $35,000 in earnings from this program in 2007!! So, it DOES work! This is such a simple way for us to invest a little time ONCE and create a continuing revenue stream for many, many years to come for the softball team! We are asking that every player get 3 new members signed up and that the forms be turned in to their coaches or faxed to Laurie by May 1, 2009. Then we are asking parents to take the power log form to work, to your next meeting, to Safeway or wherever and see how many people you can sign up! Call Grandma, Aunt Betsy, your favorite commercial fishermen and everyone you know in the Lower 48 because there are many grocery stores besides Safeway that will donate earnings to our team such as Von's, Piggly Wiggly, Dominicks and many others.
