I am Medically retired the ministry gives me something to do, along
with my hobbies.
My Name is: Larry D. Edwards
In 1994 I started the Working
for the Lord Ministries as a result of a food giveaway that started in
September 1993. I setup the Lord's Food Pantry as a result of food donated
by a local grocery store. At its onset the store had received to much food
merchandise for its capacity. Thus I was given the opportunity to receive
the food, which I began to distribute to local area churches. This was
too expand to churches as far away as Wasilla, some 60 miles.During this
time period between September 1993, and March 1994, The Lords Food Pantry
was feeding as many as 1600 people a day as a result. It was during this
time period that I discovered a need for my ministry of helps, when the
food donations ran out I started working with home bound disabled veterans
who had medical conditions that kept them out of the churches and were
being neglected by the churches because they could not attend. Most felt
that their military service was the cause. Since most were Viet Nam Veterans
who had suffered the many things that the returning vets faced. I receive
no funding for what I do. I haven't been discouraged because of it. I enjoy
what I do, I feel that the Lord will provide and He does. When I need something,
it always seems, that the family has all it needs and there is extra funds
available to cover the expense. My hobbies include leather working, beading,
wood working, gold panning, and gardening.
