Overview of Senator Wielechowski and UAA
In his first year, Senator Wielechowski was helpful and supportive of the University in 2007. In 2008 he helped with the capital budget and with funding for the Health Sciences Building and Sports Complex.
In 2009 Senator Wielechowski cosponsored SB18 which would have increased funding for the WWAMI program. Senator Wielechowski was a cosponsor for SB23 which would repeal the current defined contribution retirement plans. Senator Wielechowski is an inaugural member of the UA Boosters Caucus. Senator Wielechowski was endorsed by APEA in the 2010 General Election. In 2011 Senator Wielechowski hosted a UAA Social Work graduate student intern.
