Overview of Representative Peterson and UAA

Representative Petersen was elected for the first time in November 2008. He did not respond to the UAA Faculty and Staff Association’s survey. He was endorsed by United Academics AAUP/AFT and APEA/AFT. Representative Petersen was a primary sponsor of HB54 and a cosponsor for HB30 which would repeal the current defined contribution retirement plans. Representative Petersen attended the opening reception for the Integrated Science Building. Representative Petersen is an inaugural member of the UA Boosters Caucus. Representative Peterson was endorsed by APEA during the 2010 General Election. In 2010 and 2011, Representative Peterson voted for the floor amendment to increase the UA budget. The amendment did not pass.
