Overview of Representative Buch and UAA
In his first year, he supported the budget bills that were favorable to the university. He received endorsement from APEA/AFT in the 2006 election. Representative Buch met with the UAA Faculty and Staff Association in 2008. He was endorsed by United Academics AAUP/AFT and APEA/AFT in 2008. Representative Buch also was a primary sponsor for HB54 and a co-sponsor for HB30 which would repeal the current defined contribution retirement plans. Representative Buch voted for the floor amendment to increase the UA budget. The amendment did not pass. He also a member of the Education Committee.
