These pages will contain the history of and general information on the Order. It is very much under construction

The Order of the Argent Bear is a now-forming tournament society which has been coming together in Anchorage, AK over the last couple of years. It and its members are closely associated with the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. and most but not all of the combat occurs within the context of that organization. The Order is not, however and in any way, a branch of the SCA, Inc and does not represent SCA policy.

In the next month or so, we hope to have such useful things as a charter and short range plan.

Here's what we've got for now:

Working Name: Order of the Argent Bear
Working Motto: From Virtue Follows Virtue

 

 We think that can be translated into Latin as 'Ex Virtu, Sequi Virtu', but prepositions are of course notoriously difficult to translate. If you know better, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
