A one day challenge from the members of the Queen's Guard who live here in Oertha

From the Queen’s Guard

Greetings Gentles,

Her Royal Majesty, Queen Juana Isabella, has set those on her guard to quest. We are (to the best of our ability) to hold the Field of Honor, in honor of our Queen’s Birthday, the 24th of November. Therefore, Master Targon and Lady Viresse do invite you to come and engage in honorable combat, on said 24th day, in honor of Her Gracious Majesty’s day of birth.

The fights will be held by counted blows of five, seven, or thirty-five (no, this number is not an error!!) These are the numbers our Queen has requested and there is no answer but yes!

We will make welcome all those who choose to come and challenge us on this day, and any who wish to come and enjoy the fun. There will be refreshments available for the gallery and for our noble fighters.

Location: The residence of Lord Eric and Lady Elsbeth
Time: 1pm (regular Sunday Fighter Practice)

How it Went:

The fighting had to be postponed from the original day due to extreme cold (something below 0 if I remember). The combats were fought later at Yule, where Viresse and Targon both attended. Many people armored up that day, despite the fact that few even here will call 5 above warm.

Lessons Learned:

From Viresse: Tight schedules and Oerthan winters don't go together.
