It
came to happen on the last day of the first reign of Richenza and Joseph, Princess and
Prince of Oertha that, after may fine and noble deeds of arms had been made to occur under
Their watchful eyes, that some of the worthy ladies watching were heard to lament that a
days combat was never quite as enjoyable as when they had someone fighting in their
honor upon the field. And, in reflection, that Ladies within Oertha would find themselves without
such representation upon the field seems more likely than not, for Oertha is so rich in
the grace, beauty, and inspiration of Her Ladies, that one can scare imagine a land could
be equally blessed with noble men of arms sufficient to do justice to that bounty. And
while the quest undertaken hereby may not itself be enough to prove it so, may it at least
be said that those who have sought to fullfil the goals of this Company have tried.
