It is interesting to note the 1,000 year gap in the radiocarbon chronology that occurs at the end of the Middle Taiga Period and the beginning of the Late Taiga Period. Notched point forms are found at the Swan Point and Minchumina sites during the early part of the Late Taiga Period and disappear around 1200 calBP. This timing coincides with the later range for darts in the Southwest Yukon ice patch data.
