Seldovia is a place for those truly seeking peace and quiet. No one really passes through the tiny village. It is off the road system and about 16 miles south of Homer across Kachemak Bay, and can only be reached by boat or plane. It takes a little effort to get there. You need to leave your car behind. Everything in the small village is within walking distance. Beach combing, hiking, mountain biking, berry picking, sight seeing, fishing, and rest and relaxation are among the few activities the community has to offer.

The guest suites in Swan House South all have large sitting areas, private baths, and some with private decks.
All of our suites have a wonderful view, whether it be the mountains or the water, and are decorated with custom shades (room darkening) and curtains. The top level has three lovely suites, all modern baths. All of our rooms have comfortable queen or king Serta mattresses.
The Treehouse Suite on the top level overlooks the water, nestled high in the spruce trees. There are large windows for viewing the eagles below, and a private deck in the tree tops. This suite is appointed with a tub and shower and sitting room.
The Garden Suite is another luxury suite, with a large sitting area with a view of the mountains and a private deck. The suite includes a log king bed, comfy leather sofa to enjoy a good book or a movie, private bath, table and chairs and in-room coffee or tea. Perfect for honeymooners! The Tidewater Suite is our largest room overlooking the water, with a large bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Plush monogrammed bathrobes and slippers are provided for our guest's use. All rooms are decorated with custom curtains, bedspread and room-darkening shades.
Other amenities:
There is a private dock for our guests to enjoy fishing or just sunning with a good book. Bald eagles can often be seen soaring by in search of a salmon. Be sure to bring your fishing gear if you come during King salmon season.
The dining area at Swan House South.is an all glass enclosed "cafe style" room with tables overlooking the water, nestled high in the spruce.
A secluded gazebo with hot tub that hangs over the cliff overlooking the water is a great way to end your day of hiking or relaxing at Swan House South,
