SUSITNA PLACE | How to find the B&B
FEW LODGING OPTIONS in Anchorage match Susitna Place for convenience.
Shops, dozens of restaurants, and the popular Tony Knowles Coastal Trail are as little as three blocks from the front door. The heart of downtown is an easy, safe walk of 5-10 minutes. The Alaska Railroad is one mile away. Anchorage International Airport is 4 miles away. Taxis are plentiful, and limited public bus service is available, with stops 3-5 blocks from the B&B.
Driving from ...
Anchorage International Airport: As you leave the terminal, you are heading east on International Airport Road. Proceed 2.5 miles to the Minnesota Drive North loop/exit. Go north on Minnesota Drive for two miles (as you enter the downtown area, Minnesota becomes “I” Street and cross streets are numbered, beginning with 15th Avenue). Continue on “I” Street to 8th Avenue, and turn left. Go four blocks to “N” Street, and turn right. (“N” looks like a parking lot or alley, but it really is a street.) Susitna Place is the second building on the left. There are four covered parking spaces.
Glenn Highway (Hwy. 1): As you enter Anchorage, the highway turns into 5th Avenue. Proceed through the downtown area to “L” Street, and turn left. Go three blocks to 8th Avenue, and turn right. Go two blocks to “N” Street, and turn right. (“N” looks a parking lot or alley, but it really is a street.) Susitna Place is the second building on the left; there are four covered parking spaces.
Seward Highway (Hwy.
9): As you enter the downtown area, the street name changes to Ingra. Proceed to 9th Avenue, and turn left. Follow 9th Avenue to “M” Street (just past the Clarion Suites), and turn right.
