Worship at St Mark

In our worship services, St Mark uses various settings of the Liturgy as found in the Lutheran Book of Worship, and follows the 3-year liturgical cycle. In addition, we sometimes use contemporary liturgical settings as well. During Lent and Advent we also offer the quiet and contemplative "Vespers" service on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 7:30 pm (oftentimes preceded by a soup and sandwich potluck!). Music is a cornerstone of Lutheran Liturgical Worship, and hymn singing, chanting the liturgy, and glorious pipe organ music are always an integral part of our worship services.

Fundamental to our Worship experience is drawing near to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by water and the word. The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on alternating Sundays at either the 8:30 am or 11:00 am worship service. Holy Baptism is available after consultation with the Pastor. Please call the church office at 276-6231 for further information and/or to speak to the Pastor on these or any other pastoral care concerns. You may also e-mail us at St Mark as well (we check our e-mail several times each day).

You will always receive a warm welcome at St Mark Lutheran Church!
