The Russian Blue Cat

Thank you for your interest in Russian Blue Cats. A Russian Blue is a beautiful, short-haired, silver-coated cat that is both gentle and playful. Usually quiet, the Russian Blue will love its own family but may be less interested in strangers. The show standard calls for a short, thick, plush double coat with silver tipping on the blue (gray) fur, giving the cat an overall sheen. The body, legs, and tail are long and slender and the ears are large and wide-set. The emerald green eyes are set in a lovely "seven-planed" head. 

Russian Blues make excellent pets. They shed very little unless going through a coat change in warm weather. They adapt well to other cats but do equally well in single-cat households. Russians love playing with cat toys and climbing on scratching posts, but because of their gentle nature may not like rough handling. Young children should be taught proper handling of the cat.

Our kittens are home-raised and never caged. Our veterinarian regularly visits our cattery and always examines each kitten. Our cattery tests negative for Feline Leukemia and parasites. We guarantee the health of the kitten for thirty days against any illness, and for life against any congenital defects. We subscribe to The International  Cat Association Breeder's Code of Ethics.  Your kitten will be provided with its vaccination record and will have all vaccinations it is old enough to have at the time of purchase. 

We will sell only to cat lovers who will promise, via a written contract, to keep it indoors, to provide it with loving attention, a high-quality diet, and regular veterinary care. This contract is available for your examination.  Just follow the link at the bottom of this page.  Your kitten will come to you already spayed or neutered.  We do ask that you register your cat so that the international registries (TICA or CFA) can keep accurate records of the breed.

Our cattery actively raises and shows Russian Blue cats. Your kitten is descended from show-winning cats; we own TICA's Russian Blue of the Year for 1992 and several other top winners. You can be assured of a quality cat; we breed and buy only the best and work only with other reputable breeders.

Pet kittens are $500.00 and includes the spay/neuter, show kittens are $1000.00. Shipping by air is available from Anchorage on many major airlines. Whenever possible, we hand deliver kittens ourselves while on a trip or send them with someone we know who is coming to your area.
