Thank you for your interest in California Spangled Cats. The California Spangled Cat is a beautiful spotted cat that is intelligent and playful. Although wild in appearance, there is absolutely no wild blood in the ancestry. We are committed to the preservation of endangered wild cats. At this time, Spangled Cats register with The International Cat Association (TICA) and show in the New Breed or Color category. We are working towards championship status and must register and show a certain number of cats to qualify. Quite honestly, we are looking for new breeders to help us achieve this goal. We are determined to go slowly and carefully and not to over breed as some breeds have done, ruining the health or temperament of the breed. Our cats need to be in show halls and in responsible breeding programs! California Spangled Cats make excellent pets. They adapt well to other cats but do equally well in single-cat households. They love hunting cat toys and climbing on scratching posts. Like little leopards, they move through the house with a hunter-like gait. They are usually nearby, wanting to be where the action is. Some are fairly quiet, others are quite vocal. Each cat has its own unique personality. Our kittens are home-raised and never caged. Our veterinarian regularly examines our cattery and always checks each kitten. The cattery tests negative for Feline Leukemia and parasites. We guarantee the health of the kitten for thirty days against any illness, and for life against any congenital defects. Your kitten will be provided with its vaccination record and will have all vaccinations it is old enough to have at the time of purchase.
Our cattery actively raises and shows California Spangled Cats and Russian Blues. Your kitten is a result of careful breeding; we work closely with Paul Casey, the originator of the breed. You can be assured of a quality cat; we breed and buy only the best and work only with other reputable breeders. We belong to TICA'a Responsible Breeder program. Prices range from $800.00 to several thousand dollars. Shipping by air is available from Anchorage on many major airlines. Whenever possible, we hand deliver kittens ourselves while on a trip or send them with someone we know who is coming to your area.
