Everyone Is Welcome

We welcome you to our services regardless of your religious beliefs. We encourage you to study God's word, the Bible, with us. We want to encourage anyone who is sincerely seeking the truth which is in Christ (Ephesians 4:20-24). You will find a warm, friendly atmosphere among us where the Bible is taught and genuine goodwill toward all people is apparent (Galatians 6:9-10).

What to Expect When You Visit Us

Many people hesitate to visit a church unless they know what it will be like. We believe that God's Word teaches that the true kingdom of God is a spiritual organization with Christ at its head (Ephesians 1:22-23); thus, there is only one church recognized by God (Ephesians 4:4-6), and it is comprised of individuals, not congregations (1 Corinthians 12:12-14). Local congregations are simply groups of such believers who work together in teaching others to obey God's Word, to encourage fellow Christians to fully obey God, and to help one another put godly principles into practice in one's daily life.

Simple and Orderly

Our worship to God...

We meet together on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7) to collectively worship God, to partake of the Lord's supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-29), to sing songs of praise to God (Ephesians 5:19), to give a contribution to our local congregation (1 Corinthians 16:1,2), and to hear lessons from God's word (1 Timothy 4:13). Throughout this worship, we pray to God for spiritual direction, for forgiveness, and that our praise might be found acceptable to Him. As Christians, we take the opportunity in our assembling together to "stimulate one another to love and good deeds" (Hebrews 10:24).

We believe that God is holy and powerful, deserving our utmost reverence, devotion and service. We try to worship as the Bible teaches, patterning ourselves after the New Testament church. It is our intent to be able to provide a direct command, an approved example, and/or a necessary inference from the Bible for everything that we do in our worship to God.

Our purpose is to "worship God in spirit and truth" (John 4:24)

We would like for you to Worship God With Us

Biblical Teaching

The purpose of our sermons and classes is to preach the gospel, which consists of building a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ (Galatians 4:6-7) based upon sound Bible teaching (2 Timothy 2:2). You will be able to sit quietly and follow in your own Bible as the lesson is presented. We believe that the Scriptures are sufficient for all teaching (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Therefore, we do not appeal to any human creeds or other human authorities.

Our teaching is open to scrutiny from anyone, provided the Scriptures are used as the absolute authority for all matters.

Bible Classes for all Ages

Bible classes are conducted for all ages beginning at two years of age. This gives each person an opportunity to study the Bible with others of a like age group. Only the Bible, and related Bible subjects, will be taught in these classes. We do not wish to use our meeting times to introduce worldly teachings (1 Corinthians 1:18-31), nor to cater to a select audience (Romans 10:11-13).

We diligently strive to teach God's word without bias or denominational influence.

Congregational Singing

There will be singing by the entire congregation at every service (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). This gives everyone an opportunity to praise God through song. We do not believe that the Scriptures authorize the use of instrumentals, or separate choirs for accompaniment in worship.

Concerning the Collection

According to Scripture, the only collections to be taken are on the first day of the week and are voluntary offerings from the members of this congregation (1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8). We do not ask, and do not expect, our visitors to give of their money. Visitors are our honored guests.

The Lord's Supper

As directed by Jesus (Matthew 26:26-29), the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), and the example of the early church (Acts 20:7), we join in the "supper" of the Lord every first day of the week. (This is also known as "communion.") This refers to unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (grape juice) being taken by each Christian to remember and commemorate Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for our sins.
