Located in the northeastern portion of the Prince William Sound, 25 miles from Valdez, Prince William Sound Lodge can be accessed only by air or by sea. Observe and enjoy the unspoiled wilderness as a naturalist, sightseer and/or sports lover. Experience an abundance of wildlife; you will see a wide variety of migratory waterfowl, birds, resident sea otters, seals, eagles and possibly sea lions, bears and whales. Learn about the anthropology of the local Aleut Indians and geologic features of the Chugach Mountain Range with their snow-capped peaks and glaciations to 13,000 feet. For a naturalist the area is abundant with flora and fauna with a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty.

Prince William Sound Lodge is located in Ellamar, on the shores of Virgin Bay and Tatitlek Narrows where sailing ships once moored. Wander through the historical past of a bygone era in a rustic turn of the century mining area. Explore ancient lush boreal rain forest with numerous varieties of wild flowers Prince William Sound Lodgeand vegetation along a network of hiking trails. Also provided is a comfortable classic 32 foot converted fishing vessel that enables you to closely explore the bays and inlets surrounding Ellamar.

Situated at water's edge, the PWS Lodge has the intimacy and comfort of a hand crafted private log home, majestic stone fireplace, oak floors and indoor bathroom facilities. Relax by the warmth of the fire and take in the panoramic view that offers you countless pleasures.
