Located in the northeastern portion of the Prince William Sound, 25 miles from Valdez, Prince William Sound Lodge can be accessed only by air or by sea. Observe and enjoy the unspoiled wilderness as a naturalist, sightseer and/or sports lover. Experience an abundance of wildlife; you will see a wide variety of migratory waterfowl, birds, resident sea otters, seals, eagles and possibly sea lions, bears and whales. Learn about the anthropology of the local Aleut Indians and geologic features of the Chugach Mountain Range with their snow-capped peaks and glaciations to 13,000 feet. For a naturalist the area is abundant with flora and fauna with a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty. |
