Asian Studies

The following chart shows the units we might cover this semester with the respective textbook and chapters that are to be covered. The reading for this course is heavy for an elective course. If you have problems reading or need more time please let me know ahead of time. "Read on McDuff and damned be him who first cries hold enough!" (It never hurts to throw a bit of Willy in on a webpage to give it class) Also- I was priviledged to travel to China this summer. The class may get a bit heavy in East Asia as a result.

Throughout the course I will have different instructors from different schools of martial arts in the classroom to do demonstrations. The above list is not a complete look at the course. It is only a list of readings. Time may force us to cut some of the material of the course. Please watch for reading postings in the classroom for any changes.
