9. In the Value Name field, enter: Application
10. Make sure the Data Type is set to REG_SZ, and then click OK

17. With ical still selected, click the Start button on the right side.
18. iCal should start up, and if the Property Box isn't showing, double-click the iCal icon in the system tray to bring the Property Box up.
19. In the iCal Property Box, click the Status tab, and click Idle Server
20. Click on the Listener tab, and Check Auto Start Listener and Start Minimized. Uncheck Auto Start Browser and Show Tutorial.
21. Return to the Status tab and click Start Server
22. Return to the services window and click Stop to stop the iCal service.
23. Click the Startup button on the right side.
24. Uncheck the Allow Service to Interact with Desktop. click OK.
25. Click the Start button to start the iCal service again. Nothing should popup on the display this time.
26. Open a web browser, and enter: http://localhost. The default calendar of iCal should pop up.
Note: There are some slight variations to the above procedures if you are using Windows 2000. The Services icon can be found inside the Administrative Tools folder which is in Control Panel. Once in the Services window, starting and stopping the service is done by right-clicking on ical and selecting the proper procedure. To set up the service properly, instead of clicking on startup, right-click the ical icon and click on properties.
