Type: L3.7 Unequilibrated Chondrite

Description: S3, W2, Fa mol% 12.9-28.8, Fs mol% 20-23. Wo mol% 2.2 Analysis by T .Bunch. Pending approval by the Nomenclature Committee of the Meteoritical Society.

Note: In the mid-2000s, Ted Bunch was an important source of classifications. While institutions would classify meteorites in some cases, often at no cost, it was not unusual for the process to take many months or even years. Ted filled this gap by providing timely low cost classifications using the facilities at Northern Arizona University. Ultimately, he was overwhelmed with the work and personal matters and lost track of many samples. An attempt was made to satisfy the Nomenclature Committee of the Meteoritical Society of those classifications that were known, but this was not successful in many cases. Some finds have been reanalyzed, but some including this one, have not.
