Weekend

It's just been getting nicer and nicer as the days went on this week - in the 80s today again. We packed the picnic basket with cold chicken and some ice and soda and carrots and garden raspberries and strawberries with quickly-whipped cream for a nice dinner up at Glen Alps, because it's just so gorgeous out tonight. View was hazy due to smoke from fires in Russia, and it was so warm we didn't have to wear a jacket. A warm breeze at 2000 ft elevation just isn't the usual summertime Anchorage experience! People were already out picking blueberries; we gathered a handful to eat with out whipped cream. What a nice way to end the week.

We'll head south to dig clams, fish and camp this weekend. Should be a nice time. Looking forward very much to getting out of town for a short time.
