Record Breaking
Occasion
A Fishing Story Of Two
Mediocre Fisherman
Okay folks, honestly when
it comes to fishing... we can't say we have the best track record. So
when a rare occasion arises, we make it a point to have a permanent
record of our catch. Here it is, the plain and simple facts:
WE CAUGHT A FISH.
Herring- "It'll get them
every time."
A long time ago, at the
end of the Wrangell Narrows, Annie and John sat in a small skiff
hoping to catch a fish.
"Dad, if you were a fish,
where would you hang out?" asked Annie.
"Right here." John
replied.
Two hours later, John
rethought that question.
"Annie, the fish are sure
not biting today!"
Then suddenly, Annie
spotted something quite peculiar.
"Dad! What's that? Is the
pole moving!?! It must be a fish!
OH MY GOSH DAD WE HAVE
CAUGHT A FISH!"
Precision, concentration,
and the skills of the fisherman are apparent when John meticulously
reels in the fish.
Note: the position of the
fisherman...
legs - shoulder width
apart for stability
hands- clasped
tightly
eyes - glued to the
catch.
The proud fisherman! A
pink salmon (a.k.a. stinky pinky) which is large and bright enough to
cook for dinner. Even though no king salmon was caught this day, we
look to the future with high hopes!
THE END
