Celebrating 23 years "The Spinning Room opened in 1975 in response to people's requests to learn spinning. Over the years it has fluctuated from retail to production, adding more and more beading along the way. Following a recent glass tour of Germany and the Czech Republic, I realized the joy of finding and buying great beads goes far beyond what this lifetime will every let me use, so The Spinning Room is once again open to the public. Located in the Lathrop Studio Artists' building, in the heart of downtown Fairbanks, The Spinning Room is a vibrant, active studio and bead store specializing in musk ox wool (qiviut, qiviuq), handspun yarns, handwoven wearables, painted silks, beads from around the world, beadwork and classes." - Marnie Cornwall, Owner/Artist Follow the scissors back home.
