The LeeShore Center
In-School Presentations

In a cooperative effort between The LeeShore Center and the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, staff and volunteers provide age-appropriate Healthy Relationships/Violence Prevention presentations.

During the 2005-2006 school year, 44 presentations were made to 953 students in grades K-12.

The LeeShore Center curriculum was approved by KPBSD in 2002 and includes educational information on: dating violence, self-esteem, kindness and respect, bullying prevention, conflict resolution, sexual harassment, domestic violence, healthy relationships, communication skills and many more.

If you would like to make arrangements for an in-school presentation, please contact The LeeShore Center at 283-9479.

The following are quotes from presentation evaluation forms completed by teachers:

Sexual Harassment:

"The students really paid attention and were highly interested"

"Thank you for your time and effort. It was great - students needed to hear this!"

Self-Esteem:

"The topics are very important and we appreciate your willingness to try to educate the young children."

Communication:

"The presentation was engaging, informative, and age appropriate. The presenter was able to build a rapport with students quickly."

Bullying:

Conflict Resolution:
