Maiden Voyage

These are some pics that I took this evening. It was the first time (technically

not....but that is a whole story in itself) sailing this vessel. A good variety

of wind in the 1 1/2 hours out there allowed me to see it perform smoothly

with everything old mother nature threw at it. Dead calm, gentle zepher,

sharp gusts, and flat out windy(as it rained on us). This Kyosho

Fairwind did a fine job dispite its handicap of having me ( a rookie) at

the helm. The sail that Loralee and I made worked very well for our first

attempt at sailmaking, but........is'nt there always..........we made it slightly

larger than it needs to be and as a result it will not pull as tight as it

needs to be. A little rework and we are gonna defintely have a winner.
