Who is
Kayak 'Atak

Kirby Corwin believes he moved to Seldovia in 1976; a transported New Yorker via San Francisco. He has battled a lifelong love/hate affair with residential construction: he crewed on F/V Independence, an 80 foot longliner in Cook Inlet and the Gulf of Alaska. Kirby has had extensive first aid training and is a past chief of the local EMS System. His hobbies are his two children Chandra and Jake, the five string banjo, back-country skiing and messing around in boats. He is a 100 ton Coast Guard licensed Captain. His paddling interests include building boats and stem bending Aleut ritual hunting visors.

Lynn Corwin, the backbone of Kayak 'Atak, drifted to Seldovia from Honolulu via Waipio Valley in 1977. Well known as a gourmet cook, Lynn was director of personel at the S.B.E. School cafertia in Seldovia. She has been a certified lifeguard and Jazzworks instructor, Lynn enjoys arts/crafts, cooking children and reading (hey, did we forget a comma?). She likes her Coronas with a lime.
