These two pictures were taken before my latest outing on New Year's Eve, 1999. I couldn't think
of a better way to ring in the new millennium than by wearing something silky, sparkly, and sexy!
Here are some shots of me just after getting ready to go out Christmas Eve, 1999. I visited a
local salon to have this up-do done. It only took about 5 hours to finish getting out all
of the 143 bobbie pins it took to create this lovely look.
In the spring of 1999 I once again made my annual pilgrimage to the Esprit convention in Port Angeles, Washington. Here are some pictures of the outfits I wore while there.
Here are various pictures from this time period. The first set features a
black jacket over a pink satin with black lace overlay skirt. In the next two pictures
I am wearing a sage colored suit I purchased on a trip to Las Vegas.
These are photos of one of my favorite outfits: a boucle Chanel knockoff. Very chic,
don't you think?
The six pictures below are from my trip to Esprit
in May of 1998. While there I had the pictures taken by a glamour photographer
who was on hand for the event. My hair and makeup were done by the lovely
ladies of the local beauty school there in Port Angeles. I wish I could
have my hair done like that all of the time.
One of my favorite things about attending the Esprit convention in Port Angeles is spending time out and about in town en femme. This includes being able to experience all of the delightful pampering most women take for granted. During my 1999 trip to Esprit I spent a wonderful afternoon having my hair done at The Hair School (Port Angeles' local beauty college). Below are a few pictures of that fabulous experience.
Here are shots of me immediately following my wet-set, under the dryer, and
after all 34 curlers had been removed.
Here I am with my curls fluffed and pinned into place. Beth, my stylist
and a student at the school, did a wonderful job, don't you think?
I just love this shot from behind. I wish that I could wear my hair like
this everyday!
Beth wanted some shots of me outside the salon next to its sign.... It's not
like she had to twist my arm or anything.
Here's another pic in front of the salon. I'm sure they'll be using it their next
ad campaign (but hopefully not as a "before" photo).
