This Campground is nestled at the base of the Chugach Mountains near the famous Valdez Glacier and yet is still close to the City Center and it's services. This area was the sight of the 1898 Gold Rush and abounds with history. Visitors to the campground will be struck by it's beauty and grandeur. Campers can watch mountain goats graze on the steep slopes overlooking the campground. The park has 101 wooded campsites that include 12 pull through sites. Our sites have picnic tables and fire grills in addition to a covered picnic area available to all patrons. This area is located next to a beautiful waterfall which cascades into a crystal clear creek. It also provides 5 cook out grills and an extra large fire pit. The park offers delicious spring water which is tested monthly. Our 5 his & hers out houses are cleaned daily and garbage dumpsters are provided for our patrons. Two day use areas provide ample room for family get togethers in this lush setting.
