Hey there! Welcome to the Home of Good Beer! We've been busy as Banshees Brewing Bodacious Bubbly Beers, so we haven't done much here till now.

So what's our gig? We're a little brewery in Anchorage, Alaska devoted to Good Beer. So devoted that we aren't afraid to admit when we're wrong or when there's something better out there. And to tell the truth, we think we've got the best dang beer this state has seen. Not that it hasn't been utter pandemonium getting here. We've dumped more beer in the past six months than most people will drink in their lifetime (with the exception of a few members of the Great Northern Brewer's Club) and we are proud of the fact. We will not release a beer we don't think is perfect. We intend to always hold to that philosophy.

So why isn't our motto "Perfect Beer"? I'm sorry, but how high falutin' does that sound? Actually, there's a little story behind the motto "GOOD BEER"... When I was a tyke, my father would sit down to the dinner table with his frosty mug and he'd pour his beer and take a sip and slam the mug down and roar in a big monster voice:
 

The Impression lasted on me. So much so that I longed for him to say that about a beer of mine. It took twenty some-odd years to get to that point, but hey, you need a reason for everything, right?

OK. So first we had to finance the brewery, which took a good year and then some, but now we've got some really cool shareholders who are Alaskans to boot, and they're psyched to own a piece of the brewery. In fact,
 
 

Well, not all of the people who drink our beer now, or we'd be owned by everyone who likes good beer in Alaska (Not that it wouldn't be nice), but for the first year or so they were the only people who got to try it.

Then it took a good three months to get all of our approvals finished, a full six months of construction, but now we've got a great little brewery. Construction was a nightmare! All we really wanted to do was make good beer, you know?

Of course now its an entirely different story. We just threw a killer GRAND OPENING that we'd show you if Gil ever sends me the pictures he took. About three hundred people I have no idea who they were came down and drank good beer and danced to Yukon Ryder, this killer band from Fairbanks. Sorry you didn't know about it. Why don't you email us your name address and phone number so we can let you know next time we throw a shin-dig. Heck, we might even let you buy a hat or T-shirt if you ask nicely.

Oh, and we have new names for our beers! In fact, we have labels you can check out. Our beers, Borealis Nut Brown Ale™, Borealis Classic Pilsener™ , Borealis IPA™ and ®Chilkoot Charlie's Sourdough Ale  are great. Here's a list of where you can get them.
