THE RAPTURE!!

The Song of Solomon is more than a beautiful song and poem Solomon wrote for one of his wives. It is a love letter from Jesus Christ to His people – the BODY OF CHRIST, the church with out spot or wrinkle (SOS 4:27; Eph 5:27). Jesus is the beloved and the church is the Shulamite. If you are ever feeling low and downtrodden, read this book. It tells us how much the Lord really loves us.

It is full of current and future descriptions of our relationship with Christ. It also reveals and corroborates prophecy. Read it with an open mind and you will start to see these relationships. One prophecy that it reveals is the 'rapture' or 'catching away' of the church.

Song of Solomon 2:10-14
10  My beloved spoke, and said to me: "Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11  For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
12  The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
13  The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!
14  "O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely."
(NKJ)
Notice here that the beloved is speaking to his bride. He says, 'Rise up and come away' two times—a witness. Also notice that it is summer since the fruit is on the trees and vines. He speaks to his bride who is hiding in the 'Rock' in the secret places. The rapture happens during the figurative 'summer'. Jesus loves us, our sweet voice (our prayers to Him), and lovely face (our devotion to Him). Jeremiah 8:20
20  "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved!"
(NKJ)
Here Jeremiah laments that they are not saved. This is after the rapture. What a miserable feeling it would be to be left behind. Matthew 24:32-33
32  "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
33  "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-- at the doors!
(NKJ)

Luke 21:29-31
29  Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
30  "When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
31  "So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
(NKJ)

Luke 21:36
36  "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
(NKJ)

Revelation 3:10
10  "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
(NKJ)

Here Jesus tells us when the tribulation is to start. The fig tree and all the trees are budding (it is springtime). It is to happen in the figurative 'summer' (This may be actually be in summer but I don't know for sure). In the song He calls us away during the summer. He asks us to pray always and persevere in order that we will be counted worthy to escape the 'tribulations' or the 'hour of trial' that is to come upon the world (We aren’t to pray that we will be counted worthy but to pray always so we will be counted worthy). 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.
(NKJ)

1 Corinthians 15:51-53
51  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
52  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
(NKJ)

John 5:28-29
28  "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29  "and come forth-- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
(NKJ)

John 11:43
43  Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!"
(NKJ)

Revelation 4:1
1  After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this."
(NKJ)

Here we see that our beloved, Christ, will call for us with a loud voice like a trumpet. In the song He calls for his bride to, 'Rise up and come away'. Colossians 3:1-4
1  If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
3  For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
(NKJ)

Psalms 18:2
2  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
(NKJ)

Deuteronomy 32:4
4  He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He.
(NKJ)

Psalms 32:7
7  You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
(NKJ)

Psalms 27:5
5  For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
(NKJ)

Psalms 31:19-20
19  Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men!
20  You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
(NKJ)

God is 'The Rock' and is our 'hiding place'. God protects those He loves and those that love Him and keep His commandments. Song of Solomon 2:7; 3:5; 8:4
7  I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, …do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases.
(NKJ)
Do not stir up or awaken love in till it pleases. This is said three time – a perfect witness. Pleases whom? God the Father that is who. When God is pleased to stir up His love for His people watch out! Song of Solomon 8:6-7
6  Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm; for love is as strong as death, jealousy as cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame.
Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised.
(NKJ)
Imagine a bear and her two cubs. You cannot go near them no matter what your intentions are or you will be torn to shreds. Imagine a mother with her children. You can see her and speak to her around her children as long as you do not threaten them. But if you try to harm them, watch out for this mother will die for her children.

Our God has an even stronger love for us and woe to the ones that try to harm us. When God shows His love for us He will put us in a safe place so we are not harmed by His battle with the wicked. Woe to those that are still here when God rises up to our defense. This is why the Shulamite says to not stir up or awaken love in till it pleases because it will be far from pleasant.

Song of Solomon 1:15
15  Behold, you are fair, my love! Behold, you are fair!
(NKJ)

Song of Solomon 4:1
1  Behold, you are fair, my love! Behold, you are fair!
(NKJ)

Song of Solomon 4:7
You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you.
(NKJ)

Song of Solomon 7:6
How fair and how pleasant you are, O love, with your delights!
